A NEW SEASON IN AMBANK

At this moment, our country are having a strange season, sometimes it rain, sometimes it is very hot, and sometimes just a drip fall onto the soil and gone within second.
This is what we call changes in the weather.
At Ambank, there are some changes happen within the organization. Branches getting smaller, staff relocated, some even got MSS, jobs become variable, sales become more prioritized than services and many more. I am also relocated to .........

I wonder, Mr Brad, why must we downsize the branch if we want to achieve more sales, shouldn't we instead of downsizing the branch by reducing staff and relocate them to other places, we reorganize the staff, educate them more about products, more training to let the staff comprehend all the products in order for them to make others comprehend it also?

Everybody can make sales, but can the bank manage the customers?. Haven't you heard that most sales are make, failed to achieve the target because customers felt that they are only profit making object rather than individuals that must be given good service. Example, one of the customers that I met said that he applied a housing loan from Ambank, only to be neglected for many month. He the applied loans from other bank and got approval within a weeks. Only then, one of our wonderful staff call the customer to attend him regarding the loan application. When the customers mentioned that he already had his loan approved from other bank, our staff have the nerve asking the customers to send the approval letter, without apologizing for the delays processing his application, mentioned that he would send the approval to be review by the bank committee and requested that the customer to cancel his loan with other bank. If you, in the customer shoes, would you dare to do as what our wonderful staff asked the customer to do?.

This is what our new AmBank produce a product that would surely work. A stupid staff with a stupid behavior. Who is the customers you might asked?. He is one of my very good friend, and now become further just because this incident. I have promised him that AmBank would give him a good services, based on the products introduced by the bank recognized and some even got awards. My friend believe in me and took my advice, since I have been with the bank so many years. But, thank you AmBank for you have make me lose my best friends. Don't bother to look for the stupid staff, nobody would admit their mistakes, as what the new AmBank taught them to do. Do not think that the traditional way of banking is bad for business as some bank proves that the traditional way of banking can be mix with technologies so that services and product could be sold efficiently and create more profit in the long run.

Service with a smile a far more different than giving a service with a smile. Service with a smile only create only one person smiling, but giving a service with a smile would generate more people smiling with satisfaction.

A new season may have create some changes, but don't change drastically, always think that some changes might not suitable with us, maintain the old ways and at the same time make it suitable with the new ways.

Just remember, cars can be sold anytime, any amount; but without people to service it, nobody would buy it anymore.

RESTAURANT STORY

Imagine that you are a customer, and asked for a simple dish. You got the dish you have ordered and eat it just like any body else in the restaurant. But, anyhow, you seem to notice that the waiter hold a wonderful dish in his hand. You want to taste the dish, but too scare. Not because it is a fancy restaurant that may cost you costly, nor the credit card you have might been declined, or anything else like that. It is mainly because the face of the waiter and waitress that hold the dish that caused your appetite to enjoy the meal gone within second. Some show their anger, some show tears and sadness, some are worst than the others. no feeling at all. And then you wonder, how does this restaurant keep going, not so fast, not so slow, but not so good either. You take a good look around and ask people around., Then you know, the restaurant are too stingy to their workers, declining their profit to their lowest workers, only benefiting some who lick their bosses ass, no bonus and increment even no mistakes, extremely no bonus and increment if done any mistakes, benefit that are taken little by little, and many more. Should you as a customers, do you still want to come to this restaurant.
Imagine that this Ambank, you as a customer come into the bank and notice there is long tape on the teller mouth forcing them to smile, promoting products, only to benefit a few; do you dare to take one more step?
Always, think in somebody shoes once in a while, many did and succeed, but for Ambank, never in their life.......

HOW TO TEACH A FISH TO SWIM

Well, I don't really know how to teach fishes to swim, or birds to fly or anything like that. But, we may ask from the palace of our Ambank high management staff, how to do that because from my understanding, only the impossible can the do the impossible.

First of all, I am not a coward because leaving my blog just like that. But, at that point of time, I have to save marriage that almost collapse because I am so stressed up about my job. Yes, I have to do multiple jobs, no thanks to the company in order to support my family. Maybe just because I am seldom at home, my most understanding wife assumed that I am having an affair outside the house. Everybody have their limit's, and my wife are not excluded from this. I have to comfort her every night and day, not to mentioned showing her proof that I have done many jobs just to say that I love my family and not to be destroyed just because certain parties ambition.

Back to the title, I heard that some of my friend which under PIP had to attend certain courses in order for them to improve their daily routine jobs. Why? Well, I don't really know. Most of them have done the same routine just like their office mate, same job, same order..etc. But, due to certain parties that so ambitious sucking up the higher management, they are put under a programm that denying them to receive any bonuses or increment as long as they still in the programm.

So, why the hell the higher management asking them to attend the training if they already knew that these staff need not to be train anymore? Well, my friend, they simply don't care. If this method's if the only way to avoid any payment to their staff, they would do it even it would kill their staff and their family. You lose one, you can take another contract workers. Cheaper, faster, economical. But....don't these training incurred some cost?.

During this period of time, our higher management would declare a new decree:-

1) No bonuses because we lack of profit
2) No increment because we have no profit
3) No nothing because we don't care about you; take your salary or resign

Maybe I am too exaggerate, but it may happen

I always wonder, what kind of qualification does those who sit above us have?. Don't they know economy at all or they flunk those subject at school and now took their revenge to the little people in this company.

Don't they know by denying any bonuses or increment, it would effect the bank indirectly. Imagine, one staff only earn his monthly wages. No increment, incentives or anything. The staff have to do a tight budget due to high cost of groceries. Some product might be bought, some product might have not. Imagine the supplier of the product which have not been bought, their cost are higher than their income.
Imagine, they have to cut their workers salary, even worse sacking them. Imagine that this workers are about 1000 people. Imagine that these workers have intention to do banking with Ambank ( saving, current account, fixed deposit .....) but just because their salary are cuts and they are sacked, they cannot do that anymore.
Imagine now who are the real loser?.

Imagine, just because some idiot who think they can cut cost and earn more profits for the company, instead they create more loses for the company than ever before.

Just imagine.....

AT LAST...THE MOMENT OF TRUTH

At last, the high management have show their true color. After reading the assume KEPPA acceptable negotiation with the high management, their so called new AGREEMENT out from their palace. Many question almost explode in my mind, to enquire from the so called KEPPA, the champion of the non clerical and the clerical. Where is their promise to urge the high management giving us 40% increment, better than NUBE?. Was it because the NUBE receive less, then KEPPA only request a little extra more than what the NUBE get?. Maybe, it is a better strategy, but assuming this is really what the KEPPA fight for...I hope that somebody that asked me to use my sane mind to think about KEPPA achievement...I give you back...a clap for KEPPA have achieved to cheat us all for being the puppet of the puppeteer. Please...I dare those who claimed that KEPPA give us more.. take the agreement.. read it thoroughly..and then take the NUBE agreement..read it..use your clever brain, extract the information, disseminate it, or eat it. I don't want to elaborate more because a close mind are no better like talking to a stone. Therefore, it is better for you all do what I have said before.

Based on the response I have received, thank you to all that give your opinion. It is glad for me to know I am working with human being instead of machine. Any comment toward or against me prove that we all have feeling.

For those in the executive level, sorry for what has happen to you all. But, please understand, to achieve a high level in the company,support the lower level just like what some bank do to their employees.

For those who expect a hot story through this blog, I only speak only the truth, there is no defamation, so don't expect it to be coming from my word. If you want me to swear, as a Muslim, in the name of ALLAH, WALLAHI, WABILLAHI, WATALLAHI. I dare that the high management that is Muslim, post a memo to the workers, swear that what you are doing today are for the benefit of the employees. I dare you.......

FAIR......DEFINITION BY AMBANK

Guys love a beautiful fair lady,
Consumer love to buy from a market that sell thing with fair prices,
Housewives love a husband that being fair between working time and family time,
A country would be in peace should the judge always give a fair verdict,
A teacher loved by their students for being fair to everyone and not being selective,
A politician loved by the people for being fair to everyone,
A welfare department must be fair in distributing to the needy,
A poligamist should be fair to each of his wife, and they would be loved for being fair,
BUT....

In Ambank

The workers are not being loved by the management,
There's no bonus for them,
There's no increment for them,
There's no adjustment for them,
There's no promotion for them,
There's no place for them,

JUST BECAUSE....

Their KPI are fair........

INDEPENDENCE......THE SADDEST WORD

This month on the 31st of August 2008, mark the 51st anniversary of our country, Malaysia, celebrates the independence day. A day which means that Malaysian, could run their lives without any interference from any outsider, a day that we can make our decision, as long it does not contradict with the law.

But, after all this year, for the staff of Ambank, does it really important for them to celebrate this day?. It does not reflect their lives, which daily work routine that was done without hesitation , every hard work done without jeorpadizing the lifestyle of their higher management daily life, every hard work done only benefitted the higher ranking, whom are being awarded with trophies and awards, higher salaries and bonus payment by neglecting the lower income staff, denying their rights using KPI, only to mask the chess player, whom does not care to sacrifice their soldier just to get what they want, not using their brain but still claiming that they are the one who make it all the greatness happen.

For an independence spirit to be felt by the staff of Ambank, the motto of the owner " Together we can do anything", must be well use by the company. It certainly being use now at the moment, by the great Azmi Mahmod, "The Chess Player". Even after Project M1, he is still here, in Ambank, working out his scheme, "take it for yourselves, let the lower people suffer, we can get others to work with us, the market are big, the sources are many". The motto by the owner used instead of mentioned he changes, "Together, you can all work for me, let me get more, and for you all, a salary should sufficient for you, should you die, it does not matter for me, I can take others, and they would be put to silence as I have done to you all. The law is with me, I know the law, I am the law. And for you to remember me as the most powerful in Ambank, this is my word "AMBANK MAAA"...........and by this we should remember the guy that claimed like he own the company....Azmi Mahmood

BENEFIT....TAKEN TO BENEFIT OTHERS

Most of us own a vehicle or maybe more, either motorcycle or cars, or anything else that consume gas to enable it to move. Let make it short, assuming that you own a car, and you want to go somewhere in the city or you are planning to do a long distance journey. What would you do to make your car go faster?. Simple, push your gas paddle so that your car would move faster, and push it more to go faster than before. Simple, isn't?.

Why am I giving this type of example?. It is because, some of us does not want to understand the simple law of life. Therefore, a simple example for them to understand, and for us to elaborate.

Imagine, your car is a company, and the engine is the staff. Your destination, is the company goals to achieve. To reach your destination faster, more gas should be feed to the engine. In other word, to reach the company goals, staff should be given something more to benefit them, and by doing so it would benefit you to.

It has been proven that a company that give sufficient benefit to their staff, work hard to achieve their company target. It is just a simple math, you give more,you earn more. How do you expect a car to move but you don't want to feed it, instead spend your money to others in doing so, you expect them to push your cars, uphill and downhill to reach your destination. It can be done, for a while until they demand more payment for their job, and you have to pay your price because your stubbornness to feed your car with gas, which would cost you little rather than paying others.

I know one bank, Public Bank, which give their staff sufficient benefit, which may cost them something but in return, the staff work hard for their company and you would see how many achievement or rewards they received because the staff are working hard together, because they know, each hard work they do would be recognized by their employer, not by the salary alone, but by many benefit given by the company.

I also know one bank, Ambank (M) Berhad, which would retract any benefit from their staff, should the law permit them to, therefore they would gain more, and would cost them less. These are the bank which the high management does not want to know their staff misery, instead pushing them to do more work and less benefit. These are the bank which hide behind the law, stepping on their staff just to get a little push upward. These are the bank, with their smile in the newspaper, receiving achievement award ignoring their hard working staff just to recognize a few.

How do you expect for someone to work hard, just to be ignore in the end. Just like a malay proverb " lembu punya susu, sapi dapat nama", or in this case " lembu punya susu, unta dapat nama".

Do you know why and how they can do all of this? Simple, Ambank Maaaa
